The main reason of shock absorber oil can be classified as the following circumstances:

1. Oil seal caused by insufficient oil leakage, such as oil seal at high temperature and low temperature sealing performance

2. Piston rod surface scratch caused by oil spills. The requirement of piston rod surface is very high, in the transportation and work process, if not well protected by a hard object bump, often forming a pit or a scratch on the surface, these pits and scratches will cause the sealing performance dropped significantly, resulting in leakage oil.

3. Oil leakage cased by cracks in the outer cylinder or welding defects.

Method of evaluating oil leakage of shock absorber

Keep the vehicle in a dry state in judging the oil leakage (not in the rain or melting snow weather judge shock absorber ) the piston rod attached to a thin layer of oil film is needed to lubricate is needed, which should be wiped off when confirming the oil leakage,

a) Vehicle condition evaluation:

1) Check carefully whether there is oil leakage on outer surface of shock absorber

2) According to the appearance of the shock absorber to determine the evaluation grade.

b) Judging in the condition of the parts: after the piston rod is reciprocated 6 times, observe whether the sealing part of the shock absorber is leaked.
